Stylist Spotlight: Brianna Cangelosi
We’re back with another stylist spotlight! This week we are talking with Brianna, a New York native with over 25 years in the industry. Read on to learn more about Brianna:
What do you want people to know about you?
“I started doing hair in New York in 1994, and moved to North Carolina in July of 2022. I started at Hair Undone in Wake Forest, and have built a following in a short amount of time. I absolutely love this salon, and am passionate about creating any style on anyone! I love to talk, and will welcome you to my chair like I’ve known you for years! I appreciate the trust my clients have in me”
What do you love about doing hair?
Getting to be an artist; it allows me to bring out the most creative side of my personality. Not one person’s hair is exactly the same in texture or length, which makes it fun and challenging. Hairdressing is my biggest passion, aside from raising my daughter. I love that I get to be a part of people’s lives and special occasions. Making people feel good about themselves is very rewarding!
What are some favorite services you do?
”Some of my favorite services to do are dimensional color, using highlights and lowlights to compliment a client’s cut. I also love working with short hair, it allows me to use my creative side and is super fun for me. Upstyling for special occasions is also a favorite. There are so many aspects of hair that I love, it’s hard to pick just a few!”
What are some services/styles you look forward to?
”I’m looking forward to tapping into some more vivid colors and braiding, as those aren’t currently my strongest areas.”
What products have you tried that you love?
”My favorite products lately have been Liquid Spell and Oi Milk Leave-In by Davines, as well as Bliss Smoothing Cream by Surface”
What is your at-home routine for your hair?
“On dry hair, I use the Oi Hair Butter from Davines for 5 minutes before shampooing my roots. Then, I rinse and apply either Surface’s Bliss Smoothing Cream or Davines’s Liquid Spell before blow-drying. I love how shiny and soft my hair comes out!”
